Broken Spirit

Deep down in the darkness, within a cell….
I.. I can hardly remember why am I in here or what am I doing in here? he huddles himself by the corner The memory, I should be able to remember. Perhaps sometimes, painful memories are chosen to be blocked out. I see only flashes, images, a kobold, killed by me, and I was thrown in jail for it. Arikess could not understand, being a young aloof elf he was. Previously in his father's manor, everything, was given to him, everything he had his way, but now… For a noble aristocrat to be thrown into imprisonment, is something harsh, if not detrimenting.
Faces, familiar faces. I see them. First there was Evia, but she is... gone, missing... I still remember the adventures we endeavoured. They were exciting, with her... Then there was Maya. She could not speak properly, but I did not despise her, she had an... attractive side to her... There was also the bards, Mirkali, Lilly. Even Elvadriel? Though she seems to have dark secrets, she was friend. Though the world have devoured them, all of them. To the other plane they have gone.
There are of course still friends, friends alive... Ironically, both of them are exiled from the city. Gonnar would sneak in to see me in the past but...lately....
The humiliation of this... Sometimes the hateful thoughts doth kick in. The hurt the lot have done to him, torments his mind. Sometimes he plans revenge, sometimes they drive him extreme. The conditions of his environment drives him to be very unsatisfied and unhappy at times. Lately, he begins to block off. However, being elven, the memories thrive to remain fresh. Doth the harder he works to block them off, they do return however, he struggles. Not thinking about them makes him feel better at least. So he continues fighting them away, the thoughts, the magnitude of thoughts, to no true avail as they always return, so as days goes by, they begin to become..... residue. Something in his mind, but ignored. He becomes.... limp..... dead.......
He speaks to himself. He fights with himself. Sanity is breaking within him.
