OOC: Ore and Wood


  • Alright, so I will be spawning some higher end ore and wood on the server in various locations. This is how it will go.

    • You might find silver in the Kuo Toa caves, though the vein might only be durability 4 and not respawnable. It's a tease, but things need to be based on difficulty still so we don't flood folks with ore and wood.

    • You might find surprises by these various resources. So be prepared for danger and possible death.

    • I will not be doing this daily. I will do it when I can, so don't get too comfortable about finding ores and trees all over the place all the time.

    • You have a request, post it here if you want to gather a group to go crafting. (I will only entertain open parties, I spawn for Union and non-Union alike)

    • I have no idea what you want spawned, so post what your character needs here. (No I won't guarantee you will find that)

    • I will not tell you where it is, you can adventure for it and find it. Lots of places to search too, teehee, I'm so ebil.

    • The chances of you finding any respawnable ore or wood that I drop are slim. (Meant to be bonuses, not permanent features)

    • Share with people! If you mined out that one out of place silver vein or redwood tree and find another, wait a few days and give someone else the chance to find some. I will get grumpy if I find a few PC's only taking it all and this may cause an end to your special ore/wood placements.

    Any other ideas, feel free to post them here and keep what your character needs for resources updated for me, so I know.

  • I've set up some ore and wood spawns in various places. I don't really know what folks need because only a few posted. Some are in in caves/dungeons/outdoor maps. I'll be setting up more over the next few days.

    Some are hard to get too, medium difficulty to get too, some easy I guess depending upon PC.

    Some are large veins (30-50 durability) some are small veins (2-15 durability).

    Cyrian, I'll work on the hides and try to figure out a logical thing to do with getting those.

    If you come across a vein that respawns, please send me a PM and don't exploit it and remember to share with others.
