PC Name: HahnHahn was born to a well-off couple in Heliogabalus. His family was by no means living in luxury, but they did live a comfortable life. His father was a clothes merchant who dealt with a myrid of clothing from all over Faerun.
At the age of 12, Hahn's father acqured a job for him. He was to be a servant for wealthy friend of the family. Hahn was committed to his work and did his job admirably. His father had instilled in him a good work ethic from early on and he put it to good use to climb the ranks of servants working for the rich man, who was named Galib.
There was one thing that Hahn noticed while working for Galib that did not sit well with him though. Every day on his way to his job, Hahn passed homeless people. And every day while at work, he saw his boss living in luxury. How could one live such a life while those just outside in the streets did not even know when their next meal would be?
So it was that Hahn found himself sneaking leftovers and other things that Galib and his family considered waste. It was going to be thrown out anyway, why shouldn't he take something that was going to be discarded and give to those in need?
Apparently that same thought occurred to another of Galib's workers. But Toman didnt have good will in mind, he took from Galib in order to profit himself. He took the goods and offered them to the one who put up the best price.
When Toman noticed that the bidding on his stolen goods almost came to a stop, he did some snooping around and found what Hahn had been doing. He deviously set in motion a plan for Hahn to get caught and to eliminate the one driving his prices down.
The day Toman's plan came to fruition was Hahn's worst day in his young life. He was dishonored and discredited, but worse, his father had to live with the brunt of it as well, losing valuable customers in the process. Though he tried to explain himself, Hahn was never able to convince anyone but his parents of what he was really doing.
Shortly thereafter, Hahn met a man from the Citadel of the White Worm. After befriending him, the monk asked Hahn to come visit the Citadel with him and become a Monk of the Yellow Rose.
To Hahn, his path was clear before him. He accepted and bid his family goodbye. He took a Vow of Poverty and gave up all of his earthly posessions except for clothing and food.
Not long after joining the monestary, they asked Hahn to travel to the East, to Narfell, to help the order in recording news from the adjacent countries as Monks of the Yellow Rose regularly do.
