Character Name: Victor Croft_The following is a passage from the book Fallen Familes
"House Croft, once a noble family of faerun, fell only recently because of its own lust for power. House Croft, originally established by Balian Croft, was known for its supreme power and excellence in the battle field. Winning countless battles with rival houses, they were soon well respected and even feared.
Their power began to grow and expand within the region. Soon they had connections nearly everywhere, having a member of their house in nearly every aspect of the regions government.
Balian was a follower of the evil god of Bane however and ruled his people with iron hand. He soon adobted a black gauntlet for his familes tabbard. The Crofts ruled for generations untill recently when the last of the Crofts took to power.
Unexpectedly, the people ruled by the Crofts revolted with the help of a neighboring House, House Adams.
House Croft was under great seige, almost everyone but a handfull of people are expected to have escaped with their lives."–-----------------------------------------

Alastor Croft barely escaped with his life, only managing to take his newborn child, Victor. They fled the region to a safe house many miles away were Alastor spent the next five years in exile with his child.
The Church of Bane knew the wereabouts of Alastor and his child, however. Due to their past loyalties to the Church they took Victor from Alastor and raised him as one of their own, teaching him the doctrine of Bane. On his twentieth birthday the Church gave him a jeweled, black gauntlet to signify him as a cleric in the Church of Bane.A year later he walks through the land of Narfell.
