Crimson Sunshadow

My name is Crimson Sunshadow and I am a small but courageous wood elf. I am hard to miss, since the bottom of my hair is dyed a brilliant pink colour. I was born and raised in the elven city of Traep, which is near the High Forest, and is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. There is endless forest as far as the eye can see and there are many crystal clear rivers that connect and flow through the city. I met my husband Nevathlor Thunderwave in that city and we both have a deep love for the quiet place. Being extremely adventurous however, we don’t spend much time in our homeland and always seem to be traveling through the beautiful world of Faerun.
When I was younger I always took a great interest in battle. My father realized my love for archery and created a target practice in one of the clearings nearest our home. I was always outside with by bow, trying to improve my skill. From a very young age I yearned to adventure the beautiful and mysterious world waiting outside of my city, and I knew that my skills with the bow would help me if I met with unfriendly company. My father also taught me the importance of the skill with a blade, since a bow would never do in close battle. I learned to fight with a katana, but I usually carried two daggers with me. One strapped to either side of my arrow quiver.
When I met my husband I was close to 35 years old, which is quite young for an elf. He lived quite far away from me so we never managed to meet until he was sent to patrol my area of Traep. He was a Sentry who patrolled the city, watching and waiting for an attack. He came to the west of the elven city with three others of his patrol and happened upon my archery clearing one afternoon. We visited quite often after our first meeting, and married soon after. Unfortunately, we don’t spend much time in our homeland since we are always traveling, but we meet many new friends and see many beautiful places in our travels.
We have also seen some very dark and unwelcoming places. Nevathlor was kidnapped by a shade named Lyenthia Nietshade only a few years ago. She raided our city and kidnapped those who tried to stop her. My husband was one of them. Being an evil shade, she winced at our clerical spells and tried to rid us of our power to heal. The elves wouldn’t stand for this childish request and we marched our army to their dark dwelling called Leshak. You must understand that I no choice but to track them down and prevent the prisoners from harm. I requested the reinforcements of my closest friend Keldahrya Moontide and her husband Arthus Goldmoon who helped us elves on our quest to safely find our friends. We did track them down and managed to slay the wicked shade and her minions and rid Faerun of their filth. Traep has been heavily guarded since and hasn’t received any more attacks or raids.
I have seen many ugly battles and ugly affairs in my time but I do not fear in the midst of a fight. I do not look back and try to escape my duty. I stand firm and fight for what I believe in. I fight not for myself, but for those whom I love and wish to protect. I know that Chauntea will protect me and keep me from harm in any place I might happen to visit.
Recently however, I have visited the city of Narfell and I am both surprised and pleased by the beauty of the city. I am planning on staying a while, seeing as I am enjoying myself…
