_Local merchants and farmers are startled to find that the town guards are now carefully looking over every wagon, haycart, and pony rig that passes through Jiyyd. Rumors range from everything to snow goblin infiltrators to drug smugglers with a hideout in the ruins of Ormpur.
There are a few token complaints and gripes, but mostly farmers and teamsters take it in stride.
A brief incident does occur when guards discover a crate of Aurilite holy symbol with Real Magic Glow being smuggled east by a travelling hin barber._
