Near the Crossroads
-
Lorelai returns to her half-elven form and waits for details of whatever the plan is now.
-
Cerena rides back to her people and they begin setting up a temporary camp to take stock of what all survived the fight, and begin setting things for a much longer trip then originally planned.
-
_María takes a deep breath and raises her right hand, with her index draws a rune in the air and says some words. The earth shakes and after a beam of light the Lantern Archon known as Gleam appears.
Celestial> I need youwr help, fwriend. It's impowrtant mattewrs.
She then turns to Aelthas. " Gleam and myself can telepowrt people, but as said, we'll need to see the place fiwrst."
The waits patiently for things to move on._
-
Aelthas frowns lightly as he looks around at all the Hoarrans, then finally looks to Cerena.
Get them moving, we'll be along shortly, hopefully with some who can start teleporting you all along bit by bit.
His eyes slowly move to Sy'wyn, slowly making his way up to him but saying nothing to interrupt him.
-
_With a shake of her head Eluriel scatters away her worry for Ronan and Jaxilon and all else to instead focus on the moment. She raises a yellow apple to her lips, savouring its scent and taste with a quite thorough enjoyment as conversation drifts past her.
Calm restored, she fits another of the green-fletched arrows to her bow, firing this one only high enough to break through the canopy before dropping to earth. Retrieving it she kneels with her bow unstrung across her knees and right hand at her neck, eyes closed in silent prayer. When she rises it is to turn her gemlike eyes towards the others, for her gaze to come to rest on Aelthas._
I go to see all hell.
And with this she moves south to skirt the north side of Sam's Hole.
-
Sy'wyn appears to ignore everyone, taking out a bowl from his saddlebags, and filling it with the waterskin he'd just drank from. Moving to a clear area, he settles down with the bowl of water, praying softly, his cloak hood low and shadowing his face as he gazes in to it.
-
Kitty moves closer to María and licks her face repeteadly trying to wake her up, seeing it doesn't work very well, he reaches for María's bag and digs up a bottle of Tequila, uncorks it with his claws and teeth and pours it in María's mouth…
1....
2...
3...
María opens her eyes widely, reacting to the strong alcoholic drink which burns her throat and coughs. Kitty makes the feline equivalent to a grin and sits besides her.
She shakes her head and takes a deep breath, and decides to talk before she gets tipsy from the alcohol."I can telepowrt a good numbewr of people, but fowr that I'd need to see the place we awre to telepowrt them fiwrst…"
-
_As things begin settling out, Cerena rides up, sidesaddle to those adventurers who have already begun planning. Flinching and covering her ears after Maria casts her spell, she waits until the ringing has stopped in her ears…
Finally, looking to Aelthas, she smiles charmingly._
A long walk, for us, it is it seems. I think we can manage with the supplies we have, and it may give you time to plan, perhaps?
-
Other mages able to craft portals are known to us.
-
After finishing up with the elementals, Aelthas makes his way back to the small group near the area the portal was created, changing back to human form and sighing lightly as he stares at the spot it once was. Rubbing his eyes a moment, he turns his attention to the Hoarrans behind him, motioning them forward before turning his attention to the group of friends again.
Alright, we still have to get these people too safety.. it seems it may be the long way now. We'll need to try and scry Ronan.. a long shot, but hopefully it may work. Any other ideas?
-
Lorelai grooms her fur and nurses bruises from her battles with the elementals. The werecat growls angrily as she overhears that Ronan was taken by Vaxin. She cringes at Maria's outburst of magic, the loud noise bothering her hearing. She grumbles with frustration, echoing Maria's sentiment.
-
_María is still standing there, after the shout still not moving…gritting her teeth and silently raging until she explodes in a shout
"WHY THE HELLS CANT THINGS GO WRIGHT FOWR ONCE!!!!"
After this she just lets out a burst of magic in the form of a Greater Thunder Clap, affecting all those nearby her. ((DC 31 reflex or Knocked Down, DC 31 will or get stunned 1round, DC 31 fortitude to get deafned...two rounds))
After that she collapses on the ground, mentaly and perhaps physicaly exausted from the portal spell._
-
The elf sighs and shakes his head.
Vaxin has him… though he lived when I.. saw him last.
-
@6d46afa046=EodenValmer:
What ho Chaps!
No where for hast Ronan gone one doth question?- Dassit! Nex time sumun says dem doan unnerstand woot oi'm sayin, oi m telling dem ter speak with dat lad,eh. Thumbing back to Mariston.
Vander, mutters and sits down, removing his helmet and droping his shield. He fetches inside his pack an ale bottle. downing it slowly. Clearing his mouth with the back of his hand, he looks at the others and says:
- Sumun please tell me Ronan wasnt carryinit, eh.
-
::The slightly singed paladin turns his mount and faces the largest group::
What ho Chaps!
No where for hast Ronan gone one doth question?
-
_The hooded gnome sighs and responds to Fadia.
"The Ritual of the Four Doors required the concentration of four arcanists to unlock the fourth dimension to produce what is called a 'teleportation circle' in layman's terms. With the loss of one of the arcanists performing the ritual, we lost a required component of the ritual, and it failed.
Does anyone know where Ronan could have gone?"_
-
Fadia, battered and bloodied, limps her way over towards the others to find out what the hell happened with the portal
"….What the hell happened with the portal?"
-
The gnome eeps, twitching visibly at the sight of the horse and hurriedly takes a few steps back while still struggling in vain with the umbrella. Indignant, and not seeming to pay any heed to the signs of previous battle on the scene, she comments to anyone in the near vicinity:
"It was going perfectly fine, until that RUDE mage showed up to disrupt all our work! It was such neat work too, every little detail layed out just so.. but he shows up uninvited, unexpected, and knocks the good Professor out with one single spell - actually, that part was rather impressive, from a professional point of view, ahem. Then he walks all over our attempts to stop him and snatches the Professor up and away like some.. some.. very Naughty Kidnapping Villain! May Garl place whoopy cushions upon his every seat, and paint his bottom purple!
..pardon the harsh language, ahem."
-
A few hours later… an elf in a tattered cloak appears holding on to a gnome who appears to be trying still to close a multi-colored umbrella of all things. They appear next to where he left his horse, who seems to not have cared much about elementals running around and is still in the same place he left it. Taking a waterskin from one of the saddle bags, he takes a long drink before simply saying without turning...
Well… that went poorly.. and some mage stole Ronan...
-
_The two fire elementals collapse in on themselves, a last little flare of heat as they disappear into a spark that fades quicker then the after image left to your eyes. The sudden loss of heat results in a few misty breaths of cold air from the three guardians. The last of the other elementals fall swiftly after, and Hoarrans ride the line quickly, checking for injuries or fallen.
((We're at a point where you can begin discussing IG I think. Meetings and some further actions here in the thread are welcome.))_
