  Just an update to keep in tune with the militia additions. Since Jiyyd is still a lawful town, this would be public knowledge. **Current Book of Laws as decreed by the Council _Public punishments may include and are not restricted to, flogging, stocks, imprisonment and stoning. When fines are exacted and cannot be paid for, the set jailtime for the offense will be doubled. In case no jailtime is set, this will translate for IC 1 day of jail for every 50GP of fines overdue._ @c941e8a76d=Used: 1 IC Day = 1 OOC Hour 1 IC Week = 1 OOC Day 1 IC Month = 1 OOC Week 1 IC Year = 1 OOC Month Traitorist Act Betraying the City of Jiyyd by giving information, aiding, or conspiring with an enemy faction of the city is a violation of the law. Recommended Sentence: Ban and public punishment/Death Militia Rights: Capture and Jail the offender. Murder or Conspiracy to Murder: Plotting and executing a plan to kill a person is a violation of the law. Killing a person without premeditation but with intent to kill is a violation of the law. One who does not participate directly in a murder, but help plots or mastermind it, is in violation of the law. Killing a person by inflicting harm upon them, without intent to kill, is a violation of the law. To act without regard for a person's safety and, in doing so, directly cause their death is a violation of the law. One who plans on murdering a person, but is stopped before they can do so, is in violation of the law. Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment/Death Militia Rights: Capture and Jail the offender until trial can be set. Necromancy Individuals found practicing Necromancy, including the reanimation of the dead, corpse theft, or magic acts that utilize the dead. Recommended Sentence: Banned Militia Rights: Capture and Jail the offender until trial can be set. Kidnapping Kidnapping a person against their will is a violation of the law. Theft or Destruction of Jiyyd Property Taking or destroying property owned by the Council or fair citizens of our town is a violation of the law. Pickpocketing is considered theft of property. Fraud An intentional perversion of the truth, in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right, is a violation of the law. Trespassing To enter a private area without permission from the owner is a violation of the law. For businesses and shops, permission is assumed to be granted for the storefront area unless the owner informs the individual otherwise, in which case the person must leave and not return to the private area without permission. Uncontrolled Animals An person is responsible for the acts of the animal that he/she brings into the town of Jiyyd. Adherance to Banite Faith From this point on all Banites to be banned from town due to their factions attacks on our city. Those who worship in silence and not within the walls of Jiyyd are still welcome to spend time here if you so choose, as long as you can obey the Ordinance. There are exceptions with regard to education but if you are a follower and believer to a God of evil intent, then your words are not welcome. If you are being charged of a crime you did not commit, then you must still adhere to the proceedings of the militia, and appeal your case to the Council. When there is doubt, resisting an arrest will be taken as a sign of guilt. Recommended Sentence: For all offenses, loss of weapon. Militia Rights: Execute arrest as per the original crime. Fleeing an arrest from the militia Resisting an arrest and fleeing, resulting in the need of pursuit by the militia, is in violation of the law.   Following a Chat between Thorin and the Legion a new way to strike back at the Duergar was considered. Theon will try and cast scrying and Greater Scrying on Tiberius the Twice Hanged since we learned his name from the duel and attack on the hold. Thorin is planning on having air walked prepared to follow the Duergar swiftly. Any help with tracking or other divination methods would be appreciated.

  Ros appears with several rolls of parchment containing detailed maps of the gypsy pass, along with annotations regarding the ways in which their fortifications were constructed. While th' drag'ns is def'nilly a point o' some concern, I think Rass's past actions indicate tha' she's less likely ta protect 'em if it' no longer worth 'er while. Ta tha' end, knowin' more about ther relationships with ther drag'n friends is crucial an'could help ta significantly weaken 'em. T'other thing ta remember is how we interact with 'em. Like Aoth said, they respind ta bravado. Be bold with 'em, maybe e'en a lil' vainglorious. We got this pass from th' eastlanders through brutal, ruthless conquest. An' while it may o' been morally unjustifiable, some o' wha' was done, it's important ta keep remindin' 'em tha' it was done none th' less. Er'ry time we meet, it's important ta boast o' foes vanquished an' battles won. As ta ther tactics when ther in our region, I brought my surveys o' ther fortifications. It's important ta note tha' despite seemin' like some kinda barbarians, ther skill'd builders an' sound strategists. When they fortify a place, they do it right - usually two layers o' physical barriers wi' traps laid 'tween 'em. I got ideas o' how ta crack through 'em, but it's all on th' drawin' board still. A better idea, I think, is ta use those fortifications against 'em. Give 'em cause ta hafta flee 'em, an' keep 'em from bein' able to. Send a message tha' we ain't messin' about. Disease cn' work. Fire too. Don't hafta be anythin'specific, but we need ta fught hard an' dishon'rably. At least, tha's my take.

  The hin encampment seems to be getting regular supplies of beverages, food including pies, and occaisionally fresh socks and pillows? All seem to be brought by some chubby hin. Its not ever in very large quantity as it seems to be his doing but seems rather.. constant.
