  _The guards at the north gate seem particularly rattled at the news of ogres. Several people in town claim their friends and relations, all Norwick employees, vanished soon after Fendon's treachery and are said to be imprisoned by the Militia. On a positive note, patrols south report a slackening in the hit and run attacks carried out by the goblins and bugbears._

  _A heavy attack on Norwick by the armies of the Taint, both insect and undead bugbear, was repelled without serious losses, though the invaders breached the gates several times. Several of the towering spider-walkers were brought crashing down. A key factor in the repulsion of the attack was Norwick's swift deployment of siege weaponry, which rained a merciless fire of shot and incendiaries on the advancing hordes, killing or weakening many before they could close. At times the fighting was so intense that the engines were firing almost into the gates at near point-blank range._

  Telli comes grumbling into town about unappreciative hinnak and their need to piss Telli off. If approached… "Da hinnaks fines... buh now deys neva gonna helpedededs Norwick. Dey tinks we as evil and a big a threat as da death buggy bears...Least its saids its juss gonna kill anyone dats enters "der" land. So tink da towns safe mebbe... buh what's der land is anybodys guess since deys juss GOTS heres." Mutters heading back to Jiyyd for recent war preparations and tending to Silvery Valleys crop blight.

  +1 armor check penalty means it 1 has been added to a negative armor check penalty so +1 hide, move silently, parry, tumble and whatever other dex based skill there was so in effect of the mw dak hide saying +2 hide +1 acp is the same as +3 hide, +1 move silently, tumble, parry etc

  Telli spends a day helping the guards clean the homes and remove alarming evidence while tending to the fields personally with Jerrick. If there are any taunts or slanders chucked at her she bares them atop her stout shoulders while sticking to her task of restoring whatever minute amount of order back to the chaos. With Jiyyd's approval (DM granted) she escorts some of Jiyyd's farmers to help tend the crops in Norwick before heading back home with Telli personally escorting them to and fro.

  A most wretched looking General Lyte, of the Royal Troff Legion, who is generally almost always fastidiously neat and fetching in appearance, is seen being helped into town by Aramuil, Dietrick, Belia and others sometime after the crazy rumor spreads. She seems disoriented and keeps bumping into things on the way to the healers, and the people with her seem anxious and worried, even more than is normally the case around this action packed little barbarian village. More rumors spread that she has been held captive by bugbears and tortured or drugged and tortured, or magically geas-ed and tortured, or was ripped limb from limb after being tortured, and that after being tortured, she was released after having been ransomed for gems, coin or mithril, or all of the above. Only thing that is consistant in the various tales is torture! Tongues wag on.

  Dwin seems to steaidly relax as he listens. At the end, he sighs and runs his hand over his bald dome, apparently exhausted with all of the ecent activity. Just explain to them that most ars could be avoided if people actually SPOKE, and that I am always one to listen–and speak. I am fine with you being our one-and-only go between, but relations would be further improved and trust greatly improved if they spoke directly to us.
